We’re two co-speakers:
Amelia Andersdotter is a former Member of the European Parliament and an experienced public speaker and presenter. Her current focus is the understanding of data protection not only as a law, but as a tool for advancing the fundamental principles on which democracies are built.
Anders Jensen-Urstad has been a developer and free software advocate since the days of Netscape and PHP 3. After a stint as a professional pirate in the European Parliament he now develops tools to make it easier for others to make privacy-friendly websites.
Dataskydd.net has informed a Swedish-language audience of European data protection reforms since 2012. Since 2015 we are an independent NGO. We are presently engaged with easy to implement technical measures that embody the spirit of European human rights legislation, specifically data protection and privacy. A democratic and rights-based society doesn’t function only by law, but also by the actions of different actors in communities with respect to each other. Our contribution to the community is our aspiration to make it easy to understand why privacy and data protection laws matter, why we should all help in respecting and upholding human rights while also making it easy to act on this understanding.
